Now, 27-years-old, Milian feels she has really grown up, especially this past year.

“I wouldn’t say I’m jaded, but I feel like I have experienced a lot through business and my personal life. I’ve definitely been in search of finding myself for a long time, and I’ve come to a comfortable place.”

Her latest album, her fourth, drops this year. Milian feels the sound on this album is a far cry from her earlier work.

“This one has much more feminine appeal. My first album, I was talking about things I was dealing with in high school. Now I’m talking about things I like and want. I’m a lot more forward in my manner and I like to flirt. It’s flirtatious and fun; it’s passionate. It’s definitely a challenge and something new for me. I could come out and put out “Dip It Low” all over again, but let’s grow up a little.”

Christina is happy with her new label. “The second I put up my single on my MySpace page I had 16 million streams. It’s been great promotion. Also I just feel free. They don’t get in the way. It’s cool and they’re excited.” In the past, Milian feels as though she had to compete within her own label, but now there is far less pressure. “Here it’s just a way more humbled approach. I feel really appreciated.”
