Quincy Jones Not Attending Michael Jackson’s Funeral
Before the rumors start (don’t they always?) let’s put it out there. Quincy Jones told Entertainment Tonight that he will not be attending Michael Jackson’s funeral. He said, “I can’t handle it.”
Sniffling and holding back tears the 76 year old told ET he will not be attending another funeral as long as he lives. It is just too much for him. He said he has spent too much time mourning friends. He has lost his two brothers to cancer. He then listed some of his close friends he’s lost: Ray Charles, Luther Vandross, Gregory Hines, Marlon Brando and more.
Last week Q said he almost collapsed when he heard Michael had died. He said it is surreal to him that his good friend is gone.
Poor Q.
