Here’s a roundup of some of the latest Michael Jackson related news.
- The custody hearing for Michael Jackson’s three children that was scheduled for July 13 has been postponed to July 20. Both Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe’s lawyers requested the delay. They are said to be trying to work out the custody on their own. A conference call has been scheduled for July 17 to see what they work out, if anything.
- Joe Jackson told Good Morning America that he believes foul play was involved in Michael’s death. He also said that the children belong with the Jacksons. He said “Their grandmother — Katherine — and I” should raise them, he said. “Yes, there’s no one else to do what we can do for them. We should keep them all together and then make them happy, feed ‘em like they’re supposed to be fed, and let them get rest, plenty of sleep and grow up to be strong Jacksons.”
- Contrary to media reports, Michael was not so damaged that his family had to do a closed casket service. The family had a private open-casket viewing before the public memorial services.
- Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation into Michael’s death.
