Jim Jones Pleads Guilty To Assault
Rapper Jim Jones pleaded guilty Monday to punching a Jayvon Smith in the face.
Jayvon is a friend of singer Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo was also present when the fight broke out between Jim and Jayvon in a Louis Vuitton store last December scaring the bejesus out of Christmas shoppers.
Jim was sentenced to time served which was the few hours he was in custody after turning himself in to police in January. The rapper’s lawyer said he pleaded guilty because he didn’t want to risk probation and other restrictions if convicted.
Jayvon is suing Jim in civil court.
