Fly Girl: Rihanna Channel’s Amelia Earhart For Harper’s Bazaar

Rihanna slays a fashion spread in the March 2017 issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The pictorial is accompanied by an essay written by American Aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart and was first published in 1929.

Rihanna shares her thoughts on Ms. Earhart, saying:

“There’s something so special about a woman who dominates in a man’s world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper’s Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with the big boys.”

Rihanna is set to do several acting roles this year, both on the big- and small-screen including: the all-women Ocean’s Eight, the sci-fi thriller Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, as well as a cameo in Season 5 of the A&E series Bates Motel.
