Patrick Swazye’s surprise appearance at the Stand Up To Cancer fund-raising special was a wonderful surprise viewers and celebrities alike. Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year. He was brought out on a darkened stage during the opening segment, when the lights came up, he received a standing ovation. Jennifer Aniston who was in the middle of a phone call, stood up to pay tribute to Swayze. “He looks amazing,” Charles Barkley told People. “For me, seeing Patrick Swayze, someone who is actually fighting this disease, was the best part of the show. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson sat in the front row for the Saturday morning presentation of Ronson’s sister Charlotte’s spring collection at New York Fashion Week, where they were immediately swarmed by photographers who brushed past other famous folks get picutres of the couple. They after Charlotte Ronson appeared on the runway after the show as the media chased them backstage where they hid in a VIP lounge. Actress Emma Roberts joked that she was stuck in a “Lindsay traffic jam” as she tried to leave the crowded event. Samantha’s brother Mark deejayed the music at the show and when asked about the excitement over Lohan and his sister he said he was proud of his family. “I think we’re just all driven and love what we do,” he said.
Tommy Lee Jones is suing Paramount Pictures for more than $10 million that the he claims he is owed for
starring in No Country for Old Men . The lawsuit claims that Jones was promised “significant box-office bonuses” and other compensation depending on the success of the film, which went on to make more than $160 million. Jones’ suit caims he was not paid promised bonuses and had expenses wrongly deducted. The suit says Jones was paid a reduced upfront fee in joining the film, and that his contract had known errors not corrected before the movie was made.
Selena Gomez wants to make it clear that her song I’m Sorry is not about Nick Jonas. “It’s definitely not about Nick Jonas,” Gomez, 16, told People. “It’s about someone back home in Texas. When I read it, I was like, ‘Oh no this gossip has to go away!’ I haven’t known the Jonas Brothers for that long, but I’ve gotten really close with all of them.”
