Barack Obama Has A Date With Spider-Man

President-elect Barack Obama is getting some Spidey love.
Marvel comics have created a special inauguration issue of Spider-Man featuring Obama.
The issue, on sale Jan. 14, finds Spider-Man making sure all goes well on Inauguration Day. Not to give away the ending, but celebratory fist-bumps are exchanged, Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada said today.
Quesada said the idea for the Obama issue came about after reports said the future president collected Spider-Man.
“When we heard that President-Elect Obama is a collector of Spider-Man comics, we knew that these two historic figures had to meet in our comics’ Marvel Universe,” Quesada. “Historic moments such as this one can be reflected in our comics because the Marvel Universe is set in the real world. A Spider-Man fan moving into the Oval Office is an event that must be commemorated in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man.”
Obama was not consulted.
