Grandmaster Flash is releasing his first new album in 20 years.

Titled The Bridge, it features Q-Tip, Big Daddy Kane, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, and more.

USAToday gives the album a 3 out of 4 stars and says it largely succeeds in connecting the dots between rap then and now, and between the variety of cultures that have embraced hip-hop as an art form.

Flash, along with the Furious Five was the first hip-hop group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

His 1982 song, The Message, is one of hip hop’s most revered songs.
