Beyonce’s surprise visual album has rocketed to the top of the charts selling over a million in less than a week. She recently chatted with iTunes Radio about her self-titled album and she explained each song. She also revealed why she revealed Bow Down earlier this year. She says she was angry at the haters:
“The reason I put out Bow Down is because I woke up, I went into the studio, I had a chant in my head. It was aggressive. It was angry. It wasn’t the Beyoncé that wakes up every morning. It was the Beyoncé that was angry. It was the Beyoncé that felt the need to defend herself, and if the song never comes out…Okay! I said it. I listened to it after I finished, and I said ‘This is hot! I’ma put it out. I’m not going to sell it. I’m just going to put it out. If people like it, great. If they don’t, they don’t.’ And I won’t do it everyday because that’s not who I am. But I feel strong. And anyone that says, ‘Oh that is disrespectful.’ Just imagine the person that hates you. Imagine a person that doesn’t believe in you. And look in the mirror and say ‘Bow down b*tch’ and I guarantee you will feel gangsta! So listen to the song in that point of view again if you didn’t like it before.

Shaunie O’Neal is set to start taping her new VH1 show, The Shaunie Project, but her ex-husband Shaquille O’Neal is refusing to let their four kids appear on the show. She is now rushing to court this morning for an emergency order allowing her to put her kids on the show.
According to TMZ, “Shaunie has tried convincing Shaq that her show is just like “The Cosby Show” — good, wholesome, family fun. She told him one of the episodes will focus on Shaunie’s aversion to working out. The kids will convince her that working out is good and they’ll all run a 5K together. ”
Shaq however is not buying it and who can blame him. He feels there are too many pressures imposed by producers to be able to keep the show wholesome. Not to mention Basketball Wives is known for a lot of fighting and drama. He believes the show will be about a dysfunctional family that will hurt his kids, some of whom are already struggling in school. Shaq believes no good can come from cameras in the home.
Filming is scheduled to start the first week of January.
Kelly Rowland has finally confirmed the rumors that she is engaged. The singer sat down for an interview on The Queen Latifah Show where she also showed off her ring and tells Latifah how her fiancee/manager, Tim Witherspoon, proposed.
“He put a ring on it. It’s been a while. We’ve kept it very, very low—for years, to be completely honest…He asked me first on Skype, and I was like, ‘We’re so far away from each other.’ But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, ‘I got my best friend to ride through life with.’ He really is my best friend.”
The interview airs Wednesday, December 20th.

Chris Brown’s probation has been revoked. The troubled singer was in court today for a progress hearing when the judge revoked his probation in the Rihanna case due to the assault charges filed in Washington D.C.
TMZ reports the judge did not remand Chris into custody, because he was impressed by Chris’ progress in his anger management rehab. The judge will hold a hearing on the matter in February, where Chris faces the possibility of jail time.
The judge also ordered Chris NOT to use medical marijuana for the time being.
As for what Chris’ anger management program entails, he participates in a weekly boot camp and successfully completed a 12-hour ropes course “to enhance team-building skills and trust.”
The clinical team reports he has been making progress and has new psychotropic drugs that seem to be working. Adding, his ability to “emotionally regulate himself” has markedly improved.
