Nene Leakes son was arrested for marijuana possession and failure to appear. She released the following statement:
“Like any parent, I am disappointed with the actions and arrest of my son, Bryson. Certainly, my husband and I will deal with this family issue in a private manner. My son is not the first young adult to experiment with marijuana, and he certainly won’t be the last. Still, as parents, this is a chance for us to have an open dialogue with him about the dangers of any substance abuse. I realize as a parent that my job is never done. And as I’ve tweeted, tough love was in order. Still, I ask that you respect our privacy during this trying time.”
She also Tweeted this in response to some people criticising her for going to New York while her son has been arrested:
“Morning! I know my parenting job is NEVER DONE but TOUGH LOVE is ordered by the JUDGE! The judge n this case is ME. My head is up & held high this morning because I KNOW the parent that i’am! U hate 4 yo kids 2 make mistakes! TOUGH LOVE this morning.
I’m n NYC on business but if I feel like partying while i’m here, guess what….I WILL..”

A smiling Jennifer Hudson prepares to depart from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Guess the paps asked to see her engagement ring which she happily flashes for the cameras. Jennifer just recorded One Shining Moment while in Los Angeles. The song is used each year at the end of the CBS broadcast of the NCAA men’s basketball championship game. The network said Jennifer will be the first woman to sing it.

Jay-Z has backed out of a deal to be part of the controversial plan to open 4,500 casino slots at Aqueduct Race track, after questions were raised as to how NY Gov. Patterson selected the members of the group, including Jay.
The NY Daily News reports, Jay backed out because he didn’t want to put his life and business dealings through a background check for a relatively small share in the project.
