Bill Cosby will have to face trial in his felony assault case. A Pennsylvania judge ruled today that there was enough evidence for the 78-year-old comedian to be tried on three counts of felony indecent assault from a 2004 case involving Andrea Constand. She was the first of over 50 women who have accused him of sexual assault.
CNN reports that Cosby’s lawyer Brian McMonagle argued: “The evidence presented today was evidence of nothing. They had 12 years to bring an accuser to confront Mr. Cosby. They chose not to. There was no evidence of a crime here. And the inconsistencies that plagued this investigation from the beginning continue to plague it now. This case should end immediately.”
No date has been announced for the trial. If convicted Cosby face 30 years in prison.
R. Kelly sat down for an interview with GQ magazine for a lengthy interview and among the questions asked, one asked the singer about his thoughts on the Bill Cosby sexual assault allegations. He classified it as “strange” and “something we can’t explain.” He went on to say he didn’t believe the allegations and only God can tell him it is true because he was accused of similar things that was not true.
“Well, my opinion on that is, I don’t know what happened. I’m a fan of Bill Cosby’s from the Bill Cosby show, of course — who’s not? And for me to give my opinion on something that I have no idea if it’s true or not, all I can say is that it was a long time ago. And when I look on TV and I see the 70-, 80-, 90-year-old ladies talking about what happened when they were 17, 18 or 19, there’s something strange Read more
