James Bond writer Anthony Horowitz found himself on the end of a flood of angry Tweets after calling Idris Elba ‘too street’ to play Bond. The comment was made in an interview with London’s Daily Mail, he said, “Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better. For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too “street” for Bond.”
He was then bombarded with Tweets from people calling him racist and small-minded. He has since issued a statement on the backlash: Read more
Idris Elba and girlfriend Naiyana Garth welcomed a baby boy on Thursday The actor Tweeted the news along with the picture below, saying, “My Son Winston Elba was born yesterday..Truly Amazing 🙂 ” The couple named the baby after Idris’ father who passed away recently. Read more
After a poet posted a poem about his woman’s obsession with Idris Elba titled “Sorry I’m Not Idris Elba,” it went viral with men on Twitter posted all they’ve done for their women as well. Getting in on the joke, Idris posted his own picture saying, “What can I say man…I’m Not Sorry I’m Idris Elba.” Neither are we.

Idris Elba was looking quite dapper in his suit and bow tie on his way to an event last night when he whipped Twitter into a frenzy by Tweeting: “My Bow makes my d*ck hard every time I smile…is that normal?” He received lots of feedback from followers and gained some new ones.
He Tweeted after the event “Had fun…releasing the beast.. 🙂 (jokes)”
When he noticed he had gained some new followers he said: “Wowsers! Crazy how many new followers you get when you mention the D*** If I owned a Bow tie company I’d be laughing. Dickie Bows by Driis.”
This is the second time Mr. Elba has received attention on Twitter. He posted a picture one night that also gained a lot of attention. Click here if you missed that.
